October 7: Make-Up Classic Saint Marty, Celebrating, New Cartoon

Sorry about not posting yesterday, folks.  I was busy with Saint Marty's Day Festivities.  My family threw me a Saint Marty's Day party, and my sister made a huge pot of piping hot tapioca.  It was quite nice.

Needless to say, by the time I got back home, with my belly full of warm pudding, I didn't feel a whole lot like sitting down with my laptop for some quiet, one-on-one time.  Nope.  I finished up some work for teaching, and then I watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, which I received as a present.

However, I do owe you a Classic Saint Marty.  This episode isn't quite so classic.  It first aired last year, October 5, 2012.  It happens to be a Saint Marty's Day Special, and, since we're still so close to that special time, I thought I'd rebroadcast it.  If you don't care for another Saint Marty's Day post, scroll down to the bottom.  I have included a new cartoon, as well.

Saint Marty's happy to spread Saint Marty's Day joy around the world.

October 5, 2012:  Happy Saint Marty's Day Around the World

The day everyone has been waiting for has arrived!  Happy Saint Marty's Day to everyone.  I thought I'd take some time this morning to share some photos that shows how the world is celebrating this annual holiday.

First, Saint Marty's Day in Rio...

Gotta love those costumes!  Viva Saint Marty's Day!

Next, Saint Marty's Day in Germany...

Break out the tubas!

Next, Saint Marty's Day in London...

Her Majesty says, "We are very pleased to extend our Saint Marty's Day greetings to the world.  Now, if our grandson Harry would please put his clothes back on!"

Saint Marty's Day at the Vatican...

Pope Benedict has been heard to say, "Oh, I miss dose Sankt Marty Days in Germany.  Oompah!"

In Beijing, the Chinese people go all out...

Gotta love those fireworks and dragons!

How about Russia...

They even put a party hat on Lenin's body in Red Square.

And, a little closer to home, in New Orleans...

Keep those shirts on, ladies!

And, last but not least, the Saint Marty's Day tree at Rockefeller Center...

Saint Marty wishes everyone a blessed and holy Saint Marty's Day.  As Tiny Tim would say, "God bless us.  Everyone!"
